Punk Rock Guilt intermezzo

Ok, I'm back. I had to get some Friday afternoon blogging supplies, namely LPs by Cluster, 13th Floor Elevators, Morgen, Joe Tex and James Brown. And some booze. Then I had an unexpected but welcome visitor. I will probably not get far with this post, but it seems important to let you know that Trois Pistoles from Unibroue of Quebec is quite possibly the most delicious beer I have ever tasted.

Folks, I may be way out of line to be commenting at this point, since I am one of but a very few who have test pressings of the Prisonshake double LP. And, I probably ought to keep my mouth shut, but, damned if the lips ain't bigger than the lock.

That disclaimer firmly in place:

There are more than a hundred tiny reasons why my pal Griff is rightfully blog raving mad. When you hear the totality of rock he and the Shakers have put forth... well, if you are like me, it may take you a while to pick up yer own guitars again.

Several years ago, Wainstead and I were in Trois Pistoles, PQ, and the Sept-Iles, and had all the Trois Pistoles one could desire. It was a happy day to see it later imported to my town's hi-brow liquor store. Perfectly excellent, especially when served up by a delightful young waif speaking that gutteral Quebecois French. Good call.
